In a retrospective exhibition of the paintings of the famous artist Paul Guiragossian,
the book was designed with sections that correspond to the exhibition space layout.
Using a contemporary typeface and layout, a variety of grids are introduced within the book, creating dynamism in the reading experience.
About Paul Guiragossian
Of Armenian Palestinian origin, Paul Guiragossian (1926-1993) was based in Beirut and exhibited work in over 40 exhibitions around the world. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Paul Guiragossian’s work dealt with issues of like tragedy and religion.
A timeline of the artist is displayed at eye level, celebrating his achievements throughout his life.
I designed the visual in a linear fashion, while highlighting his paintings as they pop out of the linear timeline, creating a dynamic feel for the wallpaper.
A foldout large pamphlet is handed out to attendees commemorating his life, leaving them with a memoir of Paul and the exhibit.
